Job Summary

On behalf of Policlinico San Donato, Talents Nexus is seeking an organized and customer-oriented
Arabic Translator/Interpreter for its Iraq branch at Al-Sayyab Teaching Hospital. Policlinico San Donato is a leader in international healthcare, offering cutting-edge medical services and patient-focused care. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring smooth front-desk operations while upholding the highest standards of service.

 Key Responsibilities

Translation and Interpretation:

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings, patient interactions, and training sessions.
• Translate medical documents, policies, and communications between Arabic and English (Italian proficiency is a plus).
• Ensure clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness in all translations and interpretations.

Content Development:

• Collaborate on the creation of bilingual patient education materials, reports, and newsletters.
• Support social media and public relations efforts with culturally relevant content for press releases and community outreach.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a cultural liaison to enhance understanding between international staff, local employees, and the community.
• Build and nurture strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on medical terminology, cultural trends, and communication best practices.
• Provide training sessions for staff on cultural sensitivity and effective communication techniques.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, Journalism, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in translation/interpretation, preferably in a healthcare or corporate environment.

Skills and Expertise:

• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written); Italian proficiency is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a deep understanding of cultural nuances.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare communication standards.
• Proficiency in translation tools and software is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in content creation, journalism, or social media management.
• Certification in professional interpretation or translation.
